Introducing me!
I am a student at MIT studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Product Design. My interests include 3D printing, wearable technology, automotive engineering, and environmentally-conscious design.
After school, I am interested in pursuing a career designing wearable devices and fusing my interests in technology and design. I love creating products with which people interact daily, and what do we interact with more than the clothes on our back!? I am passionate about exploring high end fashion (working with top quality fabric and clothes that are meant to last), athletic wear (enhancing dynamic performance and helping athletes realize their potential with technology), and spacesuit engineering (designing Earth's smallest space vehicle to help push the boundaries of exploration in comfort and style).
Ultimately, my aim is to bring devices that read signals from our bodies and interpret user needs, from the makerspace to the public. I want to engineer medical devices that are accessible, attractive, and safe in order to most seamlessly incorporate them into the everyday lifestyle of its users. I want to make the manufacturing process of these devices as efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly as possible. I want to eliminate biases in their designs to ensure they are inclusive and effective for everyone who needs them. I believe that in designing wearable sensors for at-home clinical monitoring, I will be able to achieve many of my life goals while making a positive impact on my immediate community and beyond.
